Morning – 8am to 9am (ideally) Departure from London
Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in London. Enjoy a comfortable 1hr 50 minute drive, including one quick rest stop, to central Oxford.

How long does this tour last?
Between seven and eight hours, depending on what time you’d like to be back in London, and how leisurely you’d like the day to be paced.
How do we get there and back?
Depending on availability and how many of you there are in your party, we may either provide a Blue Badge Driver-Guide who will drive you in his or her car or MPV, or we can provide a private guide and chauffeured Mercedes, or guide and London black taxi.
If you have more than six passengers, we can arrange smart Mercedes Sprinter.
How much travelling is there?
A. Oxford is about one hour fifty minutes drive from Central London, but traffic can affect timings. Do let us know if you have fixed plans for the same evening as your Oxford day trip and we’ll plan accordingly.
Is the tour private?
Yes. This tour is just for you and your friends / family.
What if I am staying in Oxford, not London?
No problem. Just let us know when you contact us with your enquiry and we’ll customize your day accordingly. If in Oxford, you won’t need transport, so we’ll matchmake you with a great local guide.
Can we go inside one of the colleges.
We will endeavour to take you inside one of the colleges, but as they are working places of education, we can’t guarantee this. But do let us know if you have a specific request and we’ll see what we can do.
Are entry tickets included?
Entry tickets are included. So do let us know how many of you there are, and whether there are any children (with ages) or seniors, so that we can quote accurately.
Can the tour be customised?
Yes. We can for instance tailor the tour for kids, or for those who like taking photos. Or we can do a deep dive into history. Oxford tours can also be more brief, allowing the tour to be combined with seeing somewhere else, such as Blenheim Palance, or to have a taste lovely English Countryside in The Cotswolds.
We find a wonderful guide is what people remember most! So do tell us about yourselves and your tastes and interests when you contact us, and we’ll ‘matchmake’ you with your ideal guide.
What kind of transport do you provide?
That depends on how many of you there are, driver-guide availability and your preference… but we only do small private tours so it will be a luxury car, MPV, or if you have more than six passengers, we can arrange a Mercedes Sprinter for up to 16 people.
What is, and is not, included?
Included are: Your guide, transport, fuel, parking, entry fees.
Not included are: Your refreshments, meals, gratuities.
