DETAILED ITINERARY

Morning – 9am (later if you like) Departure from London

Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in London. Enjoy a comfortable 1hr drive to just outside London, Windsor Castle.

10am – Arrive at Windsor Castle as it opens

Highlights of your visit can include:

Q. How long does this tour last?
A. Six hours if you eat at the good café at the palace, or seven if you’d like to have a leisurely lunch at a lovely old pub or restaurant nearby.

Q. How do we get there and back?
A. Depending on availability and how many of you there are in your party, we may either provide a Blue Badge Driver-Guide who will drive you in his or her car or MPV, or we can provide a private guide and chauffeured Mercedes, or guide and London black taxi.
If you have more than six passengers, we can arrange smart Mercedes Sprinter.

Q. How much travelling is there?
A. Windsor Castle is about one hour’s drive from Central London

Q. Is the tour private?
A. Yes. This tour is just for you and your friends / family.

Q. Are entry tickets included?
A. Entry tickets are included. So do let us know how many of you there are, and whether there are any children (with ages) or seniors, so that we can quote accurately.

Q. Can the tour be customised?
A. Yes. We can for instance tailor the tour for kids, or for those who like taking photos. Or we can add time and do a deeper dive into history. Windsor Castle tours can also be combined with Hampton Court for a longer day trip. Or simply add seeing some of central London or one of London’s beautiful neighbourhoods with your driver and guide at the end of the Winsdsor tour. Just ask!

Q. What kind of transport do you provide?
A. That depends on how many of you there are, driver-guide availability and your preference… but we only do small private tours so it will be a luxury car, MPV, or if you have more than six passengers, we can arrange a Mercedes Sprinter for up to 16 people.

Q. Is there anywhere at Windsor that our guide can’t guide us?
A. Only Blue Badge Guides are allowed to guide in many attractions in England, and ours can guide everywhere at Windsor Castle except inside the State Apartments, where you can either use the audio guide (included) or speak to the castle’s own in-house staff who are very knowledgeable indeed.

Q. What is, and is not, included?
A. Included are: Your guide, transport, fuel, parking, entry fees.
     Not included are: Your refreshments, meals, gratuities.
